The Assistant Provincial Grandmaster and Assistant Principal Grand Principal requires the presence of every Manchester Based Lodge WM and their partners.

Firstly, I hope that you, your family and the other members of Cornucopia Lodge are well and looking
forward to the resumption of our Masonic Meetings.

As a result of the recent relaxation of the lockdown rules, I know that all Lodges and Chapters have
been busy planning a return to Freemasonry and normality. It goes without saying that the past 18
months has been an extremely challenging period for everyone and that the thought of resuming
our meeting may be a daunting prospect for many of our members.

Not since the outbreak of the Second World War has Manchester experienced such a long break
from Freemasonry; however, during this hiatus, we have taken steps that I hope will ensure that
Freemasonry in Manchester continues to grow from strength to strength.

The safety and wellbeing of our members is our main priority, and we are comforted that the Directors of the Manchester Masonic Centre Company have been working hard to ensure that our members can feel comfortable
about returning to their Lodges and Chapters.

To help celebrate the resumption of our activities, it gives me great pleasure to invite you and your
partner to a very special “Welcome Back” dinner at Manchester Hall on Thursday 30th September,
commencing at 7.00 pm with a complimentary Drinks Reception followed by a Three-Course
Dinner.

The cost of the meal is £25 per person.

The evening invitation is open to Worshipful Masters and First Principals of all Manchester Lodges
& Chapters, along with their partners.

If for any reason, you are unable to attend, I would be grateful if you could arrange for either of your Wardens or another Senior Member of the Lodge, to attend in your stead. As the Master of your Lodge, I feel it’s important that we take this opportunity to share our plans for the future of Freemasonry in Manchester with you and as such, it’s vital that every Lodge & Chapter is represented on the evening.

Despite the many obstacles which have been placed in your path, I continue to be encouraged by the positivity shown and demonstrated by you, the Brethren, over the past 18 months. I feel sure that the evening will provide you with the opportunity to celebrate the long-awaited return to our Masonic home, Manchester Hall, to rekindle old friendships and to forge new friendships which is very much at the heart of our order.

I do hope that you will be able to join me and the APGP, Tony Freemont, at this auspicious event.

Please complete the booking form which is attached to this letter to secure your places and return to WBro Chris Armstrong.

Yours sincerely & fraternally

W Bro Mark Davis – Assistant Provincial Grand Master
