Broken Column Luncheon 2026

On Sunday 26 April, the City Masons will be hosting the Broken Column Luncheon, an occasion arranged specifically for our Masonic widows. Held at Manchester Hall, the luncheon is intended to provide a welcoming and enjoyable afternoon for widows to reconnect with old friends and acquaintances from within Freemasonry, while enjoying excellent food, fellowship, and fantastic entertainment in a relaxed and companionable setting. I would be grateful if you could ensure that any widows associated with your Lodge are made aware of the luncheon and feel warmly encouraged to attend. To support the forthcoming Broken Column Luncheon for Masonic Widows, we would very much value the support of the brethren and companions within Lodges and Chapters by joining us at a fundraising social evening, which will take the form of a Fancy Dress Party, to be held on Saturday 21 March at Manchester Hall.

This promises to be an enjoyable and light-hearted evening, bringing together good company, great costumes, and generous hearts in support of a truly worthwhile cause. Whether guests choose to go bold, traditional, or downright creative, the emphasis will very much be on enjoyment and good company.. The brethren and companions are very welcome to bring friends and guests along to this event, helping us widen support while enjoying a relaxed and inclusive social occasion. Funds raised on the night will go directly towards supporting the Broken Column Luncheon, ensuring we are able to provide a memorable and uplifting afternoon for our Masonic widows.

The cost of attendance is £35 per person, which includes a buffet supper and a fizz reception. Every ticket, every laugh, and every costume helps make a real difference.
