WBro Valdemar De Sousa with the four Newly made Brothers
Every Masonic ceremony is special. The atmosphere, the rituals, the Brethren involved and the work behind the scenes. The work put in will create memories that the candidate will never forget. When the ceremony is a quadruple initiation this becomes an even bigger event and this is what has happened in Old Mancunians and Mount Sinai Lodge, 3140, on Thursday the 27th November at the Manchester Hall.
The evening started with the Worshipful Master, WBro Valdemar De Sousa, opening the lodge in due form; the minutes circulated at the last held meeting were approved. The WM then congratulated WBro Mo Asfa who was appointed as the new Assistant Provincial Grand Master at the Last Provincial meeting held in Bolton on Tuesday the 18th of November. Officers not present at the Installation were then invested,
The ceremony went very well, leaving a warm atmosphere for the four candidates: Aleksandr Mednikov, Charalambos “Harry” Savvides, Camron Phelan and Thomas Grant, expertly performed in most part by the lodge’s light blues, making all the evening even more special.
The Worshipful Master congratulated the newly made Brothers. He then presented the Grand Lodge certificates to Brethren who had been raised during the year.
This is a good example of what Freemasonry really is: a brotherhood where everyone is ready to step in and help each other just because that’s the way Freemasonry works. One for all and all for one.
